Mobile story of Dploi

Operational system for recruiters to source talent, filter quality applicants, and hire successful applicants. From initial application, to recruitment pipeline, to interview, to assisting with immigration process, and finally to onboarding.

The Problem

Existing recruitment platforms lack industry-specific features, leading to fragmented tools and inefficient processes for recruiters in New Zealand and Australia.

Key Objectives

  1. Create a seamless user experience for recruiters in the Healthcare, Infrastructure, and IT industries.
  2. Design a unified platform that streamlines the recruitment process from sourcing talent to onboarding.
  3. Incorporate industry-specific features tailored to the needs of New Zealand and Australia markets.
  4. Expand the candidate pool by offering a large database of applicants from outbound countries such as South America and the Philippines.

Initial Brief

To design a user-centric platform that simplifies and enhances the recruitment and hiring processes for recruiters in the Healthcare, Infrastructure, and IT industries in New Zealand and Australia.

Solution

Dploi Platform offers a comprehensive solution for recruiters by providing a unified platform with industry-specific features. It includes:

  • Intuitive user interface for easy navigation and efficient workflow.
  • Advanced search and filtering options to source quality candidates.
  • Integration with immigration processes to assist with hiring from outbound countries.
  • Extensive candidate database with profiles from South America and the Philippines.
  • Customizable recruitment pipelines to streamline the hiring process.

Branding

How Might We?

I framed up a 'HMW' statement to help clarify the primary goal, taking 'How', 'Who', and 'What' into cosideration.

Proto-personas

The creation of a proto-persona for the project was driven by the need to establish a foundational understanding of our potential users and their anticipated needs. It's important to note that this persona is a prototype, formed primarily from general assumptions rather than empirical data. This proto-persona is not conclusive and requires validation through further research. While it offers a valuable framework for understanding our users, its assumptions need to be verified and refined through further research methods such as interviews, surveys, or observational studies.

Assumption Mapping

Using IDEO’s Desirability, Viability, Feasibility Framework (DVF) I created some diagrams using Miro to complete an assumption map. The three main question areas were: 1. Do they want this (Yellow), 2. Can we do this? (Blue), and 3. Should we do this? (Green). Of course the assumption map will need to be validated, we don't want to base our design decisions on assumptions.

Designs

A few visual design snapshots of the Dploi platform. I soon will be adding more design photos to this case study.

Deliverables

  1. Brand Concept and Style Guide
  2. UI Designs for Dploi Platform
  3. Interactive Prototypes
  4. User Flows and Wireframes

Key Learnings

  1. Importance of thorough research in understanding user needs and pain points.
  2. Iterative design process leads to better outcomes and user satisfaction.
  3. Collaboration with stakeholders and continuous feedback loops are essential for project success.
  4. Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing requirements and market dynamics.
  5. Recognising that the project was primarily visual and UI design-based highlights the significance of crafting an appealing and user-friendly interface to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
  6. Managing a project within a small time frame, particularly when building a concept for investors, underscores the need for efficient project management, prioritisation, and clear communication to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
